Our founder
In 2010, my loved one had their first psychotic breakdown. They were a freshman in college and like many, experienced a serious episode during their first year of higher education. As a parent, I began a journey of trying desperately to find help. However, I did not know where to start other than seeking a psychiatrist who simply prescribed medication.

why we care
At Bee There, we strive to increase public consciousness about the reality of mental health crises. We see the urgent need for ongoing support for those afflicted by these conditions and their loved ones. A mental health crisis can
be all-consuming, leaving individuals unsure of how to proceed beyond seeking immediate hospitalization and entering the long journey of treatment and recovery. We aim to change this narrative by offering an unbiased, non-commercial playbook and roadmap from the first day of the crisis, providing guidance for living with the condition.
Enhancing Existing Efforts
We do not intend to replace existing mental health awareness organizations. Instead, our goal is to complement their efforts and enhance their reach. We aim to build a Bee Hive community that facilitates conversation, research, education, and resource discovery. We operate transparently and without bias. Our approach aligns healing with spirituality and faith, upholding the belief that these principles can significantly contribute to recovery.
